BrassSmile is an independent publication covering luxury and lifestyle for a global readership. We report on the products, places and experiences at the upper end of the market, and we write about them in enough detail to be useful specifications, costs, materials, context and the trade-offs that come with each choice.
The name matters less than the approach. We are here to explain, compare and assess, not to admire.
Most luxury coverage falls into one of two categories: press-release rewriting or aspirational description. Neither helps a reader deciding between two hotels, two watches or two kitchen renovations.
BrassSmile is written for the decision. That means naming the specific model, the specific room category, the specific finish. It means noting the maintenance cost, the waiting list, the season when a destination is difficult, and the moment when a cheaper option performs just as well.
Articles begin with primary material wherever it exists manufacturer specifications, official pricing, ingredient lists, published menus, planning documents, technical documentation. Where we rely on secondary reporting, we say so. Where a figure is an estimate or a market range rather than a confirmed number, we describe it that way.
Pieces are reviewed before publication for accuracy, clarity and fairness to the subject. Published articles are updated when the underlying facts change, and we correct errors rather than quietly removing them.
Our reporting is organised into seven core subjects, each with its own focused topic categories:
skincare, grooming, retreats, fitness and the wellness practices worth attention
supercars, SUVs, electric models, collectibles and vessels
designer houses, accessories, watches, trends and styling
destinations, hotels, private aviation, charters and curated experiences
Michelin dining, private chefs, wine, champagne and food trends
property, architecture, interiors and residential technology
Concise writing without padding. Direct answers near the top of the page. Comparisons that name both options. Recommendations that come with a reason, and an honest note when a category has no clear winner.
You can also expect us to leave things out. Not every launch is worth covering, and a short piece that answers the question is better than a long one that circles it.
BrassSmile keeps commercial and editorial content separate. Sponsored articles, partner features and paid placements are labelled clearly and are not presented as independent recommendations. Affiliate or commercial relationships, where they apply, are disclosed on the relevant page.
We do not accept payment to change an editorial assessment, and advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how we cover it.
